Cuban wanting the final say isn't the issue, it is assembling a group around him to help him make the final decisions that matters.
I might be wrong, but I think the voices around Cuban now might be the healthiest they have been in a decade.
All these guys are egomaniacs who are used flexing power when things aren't going the way the want. None of them are paying billions of dollars for a luxury asset just so they can have good seats for the games. The main difference with Mark is he likes doing it in front of the camera and enjoys fame, whereas most of these other billionaires like to wield power behind the scenes and stay out of the spotlight. But this idea that other owners are just okay with just writing checks, going to games and letting other people make all the major decisions on a multi billion dollar asset is really naive to me. That's not how they got to be who they are, and that's not in their DNA. If they just wanted to be hands off observers and bystanders because they like having fun at games, they could just buy their own luxury box for their local/favorite team and park their money into some other money making asset. They all got into this biz because they had a dream of being involved in running a professional basketball organization. Just being a glorified fans wasn't good enough.

I honestly don’t know how y’all do it. I’ve literally spent hours the last few days reading as many posts as possible, I don’t know how you find the time to stay up to date AND post…
So, for the past few years, I’ve been feeling really burnt out as a fan, and not quite sure why… in the past, if I missed a game I was really annoyed, but recently I’ve found myself almost looking for an excuse to miss games (still rarely missed one), and again not entirely sure why.
Now the last few days have happened, and I feel pumped again, can’t wait for the new season!
Love the hirings of Harrison and Kidd, and although they may not ultimately work out, feel they’re both exactly what we need. We always talk about continuity being good, but I think that’s what I’ve been struggling with for a while now; too much continuity from a very lacklustre front-office and coaching staff.
I’m excited to see this ship get righted, even if it means taking a step back for the next year or two.
I’m ready for the Luka era to REALLy begin…

This is the hard part. Don't forget there are 29 other teams trying to do the same.

Phew, never heard of Harrison but this sounds promising tbh. Seems like he’s very respected around the league and given his previous position it’s looking like he will actually have decision making power. I’m pretty pumped for what’s about to come. I was all onboard of team Ujiri but this is Definitely smth I prefer over a scenario where Finley is above the new guy in the pecking order. no shade to Fin but I don’t think Cuban would take a step back for him. I am pretty optimistic that he might be for Harrison.

This means Joe Prunty's wife will be back on the broadcasts, I suppose.

Let's aim for
Luka
Dame
Seth
Steph
Myles Turner
as our starting lineup
too many short people?
too high of a $/inches ratio?

Actually, after doing some research on Nico and his connections, the name that jumps out at me is Bradley Beal. And he's a FA next year.

I honestly would feel bad for Portland. Classy organization, but there wouldn´t be an easier superstar to root for than Lillard.
