This should be on the list, but I hope our GM will have long and honest conversations with Luka and KP on day one. Because this is the biggest decision to be made. Can these guys coexist?

Definitely
Here is Bobby Marks on Utah. Mentions Dallas as possibility but doesn't seem to believe it can be done without losing THJ. Another thing - Utah needs starting playmaker, they don't have internal option if they lose Conley. They don't have cap space and they can't even use the full MLE due to hard cap. My prediction - they will keep Conley and at higher cost than Marks predicts. If 2 years at 18 mil is all they offer him, Mavs should be all over him with a 60/3 contract. Probably still enough to keep THJ.

I think you need to take a longer range approach on Terry. The day he was drafted, he was a long term project. Sure, I would like to see him getting playing time next year. But how this year went, it was pretty much a lost year. I think his benchmark will be year 3. Next year is bigger for Green (mid first round pick) and Bey (already 24). Bey may not even be back next year, but if he is he needs to win some minutes. Green should get 18-20 minutes a game. I am a big proponent of trying to reduce our group of solid players and upgrade our top end talent and let our young kids grow into their roles. Don't clip their wings.
Here is Terry working out

Yeah, I'm still on team Terry, too.
I know some people hate small guys no matter what, but I think Terry has the quickness to overcome his size. As good as Brunson was this season, I have this sinking feeling that he's just not quick enough to get pull-up jumpers off coming around screens in situations where a driving lane isn't open. I can totally imagine Terry being able to master that shot the way JET did, or like Kemba Walker a few years back.
Plus, he's SMART. That's such a great advantage, imo.

I agree. Terry definitely has the quickness to get pull-up jumpers coming off screens. I love his stroke. I think he and Luka can easily develop some chemistry on the court. I honestly thought he could be a younger Seth Curry. We shall see. Year 1 was turbulent. Hopefully, with a new GM and a new coach, Terry can flourish in Year 2. He's clearly working on his game which is a good thing.

He was always supposed to be our new Seth, but that was a bad position to put a rookie in given the wacky no-offseason offseason.

Hopefully the new coaching staff is better at integrating our rookie classes and carves out minutes for them. It's the same hope I have that our new GM is better after drafting. The organization has largely been without this pipeline to infuse new talent into the team.
Green showed some flashes during the season. Bey was great in the G-League. Hopefully Terry is in a good place mentally now. It doesn't seem out of the question that Green and Bey could get regular minutes for this team. I think Bey will blossom with the confidence of playing time. I'm actually kind of shocked that they didn't get minutes under Carlisle, as they both seem like his kind of guys.

I'd take him in a heartbeat for no other reason than Luka never having to face his defense. I don't think many if anyone defends Luka better than Simmons. I'm not sure you'll ever be able to convince him to shoot, but if you could...

Brutal to watch. Getting some 06 Mavs-Heat vibes. Nets getting all the calls.

I can see how RC would look at MIL and lick his chops. They are an ideal team for a flow offense, having no truly ball dominant player.
