Sure we have the crazies with Odom and Rondo. Issues the Mavs should've seen coming. But then we have guys like Jason Kidd, Sam Dalembert, Shawn Marion, Delon Wright, Josh Richardson. The odd Anthony Morrow cameo of being glued to the bench for some weird reason that one year. Now Kristaps? Sure we can make an argument that some of these players needed some confrontation. But there are a lot of good players on this list. How many guys can RC run out of town? https://www.yardbarker.com/nba/articles/...1_35082059

I can’t say I see the Porzingis vs. Carlisle issue. It may be there but it’s not obvious to me. However, there is absolutely something wrong with Porzingis and I don’t know if it’s how he’s being used or the strategy around him but as time goes on if Porzee stays healthy and nothing changes then I’m willing to fire Rick to try and get the most from Porzingis. Other than Doncic and Dirk there has never been another player I could rank above Carlisle, but w Porzee the ceiling is so high, and the cost paid so high, I could endorse it happening.

Never thought I'd utter these words but Stephen A. and Max nailed it on the Mavs situation.

KP is gone, Rick is not leaving.

I think so, too, but it would also be the most Mavericks thing ever for both to be back. @"ItsGoTime" is fond of saying that he wants to see KP after a real, actual off-season. I think it's possible that this makes a difference. Unfortunately, even if it does, my dude will probably get hurt again on Christmas Day, playing the Suns or something.

I went from 50/50 a month ago on KP to 99/1 he is gone. Just not a fit, this is a good time to trade him. For what the Mavs need he is obviously not worth a max contract. Another team with different needs could talk themselves into KP being the answer. But is time with the Mavs is done.

I like seeing all of this "Mavs haven't won a playoff series in a decade" stuff thrown at RC's feet. His teams have been garbage, that is not on him. His teams almost always overachieve. Even the Rondo debacle included back 2 back years of Parsons being injured in the playoffs. RC's brilliance against SAS was one for the ages. That team had no business going toe to toe with the Spurs.
This year no one had the Mavs as favorites to win against the Clips and it wasn't because of a Lue over Rick coaching advantage. Its because Clips have a better roster. Mavs need a better roster, end of story.

I’m in support of the MBT though, they may not exceed expectations consistently, but Donnie drafted Doncic and Dirk. Nuff said.

It means if the Mavs want to pursue a Lonzo Ball/Marcus Smart/Dragic/Conley/Lowry it means THJ HAS to be going to the bench. Maybe this can affect how the Mavs approach fixing the team. It's hard to imagine THJ not returning. With Lonzo it minimizes the size issue and maybe the Mavs could run a Luka/Lonzo/THJ/ back court. Who knows?
