I wonder sometimes if some actually "watch" games....
3 starters could not hit the side of the barn...the 4th is super inefficient...but the blame is on the only starter who could make a shot...
Then to double down he gets flamed for another player who he wasn't the primary defender on who went off...
When we win it was because the rest of the team played a good game...when we lose its all due to one particular trade machine Unicorn...
KP deserves better fans...so maybe he should get traded...

Reread the recent posts in this thread. I think most of us are supportive of KP and understand his frustration. Luka is far from perfect but he's the future and if those two can't gel, it's better to move on before another injury happens or things start getting ugly (trade demands, public call outs).
If you prefer something quick and dirty and want to salvage KP in Dallas, fire Rick in the offseason. He's been given way too many pieces that he just can't make work.

We need more trade rumors. Always has his best games after the trade talks starts. The offense never looks as fluent when he is on the floor but he hustled and crashed the board. Also showed that he can roll to the rim if he wants to. Need more of that.
Good news. Luka assisted on 5/10 KP FGs today.

KP’s +/- is very easy to explain. When Luka refuses to pass to you, you don’t get much of a +. And when Luka doesn’t move the ball and takes terrible shots that don’t go in, you are stuck with his -. And when John Wall gets past his guy and targets KP with space to the rim, that’s more of a -.
The HOU game was as bad as the MKE game was good, but I think the "real" Mavs are closer to last night than the previous one.
Kind of a weird spin on the HOU loss...why were they trying so hard to win? I don't want to sound like they should gift the win to DAL, but they are definitely in tanking mode and currently sit in the #2 spot. If they lost to DAL they would now be tied with MIN for the worst record. I know the players play to win and DAL was making it hard to lose, but I just wonder if the Houston FO isn't looking at the bigger picture here.

On KP vs the Mavs I am completely on KP's side. They aren't using him right. You see tonight he got involved in the offense in the 4th quarter and caught fire. KP & Luka need a lot more of the 2 man game. Luka on the block with KP outside is almost unstoppable. KP can do some 2 man stuff with other players as well. I am tired of this stuff where KP sets a fake screen at the top of the key for a switch and just stands there while guys much less skilled than he is try to do something with the ball.
We would get less bad KP shots if we gave KP more **good** shots. The reason why we see the bad ones is that he gets tired of watching other guys chuck up bad shots and not pass him the ball or involve him in anyway. You also see more engagement by KP overall when he is involved in the offense. This is a fixable problem but it's taking way to long to get it fixed and I have no idea why.

If they can build on last night, then KP with Luka becomes a keeper. That's what I always said - "unless they fix it."
