Looks like their primary goal is to make playoffs, so they are looking for upgrades, not picks for OPJ.Sorry, they are not gonna get an upgrade at $28M. That is a negative contract and is such a high price tag it makes matching extremely hard, even if it is expiring.

DeRozan, Oladipo and similar guys could be a totally reasonable target

They probably should have started the rebuild 3-5 years ago but instead they are happily finishing 7th-10th in the east every year. This time they at least have a valid reason. They looked pretty good in the first few games of the season (7-2) with a healhy team (not including Isaac).

Man, do we have an upgrade for them on this roster? I'd think KP is really the only thing and OPJ is good filler for his contract. Wouldn't mind a 3 team trade where Atl gets Mark we get Collins/OPJ/WCJ Chi gets KP/filler as needed.

Bledsoe + our 2023 1st round pick for James Johnson is a great deal. That means immediately after the 2021 draft, we can trade all our future picks. Furthermore Bledsoe has a partial guarantee for 2022/2023 of $3.9M on a $19.4M salary, so he is also a very valuable salary-matching asset. Unless they think they have a shot at some major player like DeRozan or legit young talent like Markkanen or Collins, this would be a fantastic use of the James Johnson expiring. Bledsoe immediately makes us a better team, too.
Dear Orlando. Do you prefer paying Harris 20 mil next season or Johnson the Enforcer? He is also already packed and can be with you tomorrow

Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

This is why I like the Powell + JJ + 2x 2nds for Drummond. Serves these purposes: -Kicks the tires on Drummond's questionable fit. -Keeps Drummond off of a potential playoff opponent via buyout market. -Gets you off of Powell's contract for a small cost. -We suck at drafting anyway.

The fact that Woj indicates someone is willing to give up a first round pick for Dipo makes me think he's going to NYK. How many "buying" teams including Miami even have a first round pick to give?
The Knicks have 2 first round picks including Dallas. They are ready to git gud soon so getting Dipo now and having his bird rights would be an advantage. Early predictions: - Dipo to NYK - AG to Boston - Bought out Drummond to Lakers - Bought out Aldridge to Miami I am not sure if Lowry will get traded or not. Miami has been the rumored destination but what do they have that Toronto wants besides Duncan Robinson and that seems too expensive a price to pay for an upcoming FA (Lowry being UFA, Robinson RFA).
