2020-2021 AROUND the NBA: Archived
Considering Ariza hasn't played competitive basketball since 3-10-2020, it tooks to me like the Heat just paid the Thunder a 2nd round draft pick to make the Meyers Leonard problem disappear.   Sam Presti is like Harvey Keitel in Pulp Fiction.   Your two star players aren't getting along?   You just gave 4/$110 million to 87 year old Al Horford?    Your backup center just got caught using anti-Semitic slurs?    Call The Wolf.  He makes problems disappear!!

I am just going to list the trades Cato comments on.  Nothing great imo, but the DP for GH would be fine with me.  Especially if Brunson goes out for another player.

I want me some Buddy Hield. Kings look like sellers. I feel like Hield would be an amazing fit. Not sure what it would take to get him.

How the hell does Ricky Rubio equate to +18 wins?

BTW, everything else is pretty much even or negative for DAL, even the ATL trade, so I'm confused how these are supposed to be upgrades. I guess I don't understand the metrics very well.

Cause he's a good defender, which we don't have many and JJ/Burke are awful.

Leonard is being waived anyway.  Despite his huge blunder, someone will take a flyer on a stretch 5, who's a pretty good shooter from deep.

Just don't get any deals done, cause all these super-smart GMs are also risk-averse. Takes much longer to get blamed for the deals you don't do, than for those you actually do. So they all want the clean win on paper, so they can do damage control and not get criticised too harshly afterwards.

And that Giannis guy. That's gonna be some defence with Holiday,Giannis, Tucker, Middleton. Milwaukee is going all-in.

Kind of a weird move. Bucks shed some salary but seems like they could have gotten something better than Tucker for what they gave up.
