It’s going to be very interesting to see how vaccine rollouts go for a number of reasons. For the NBA particularly, seems like it would be hard to mandate with the union since it isn’t well established like the flu vaccine

Why would you stretch Batum if you had a sign and trade for Hayward lined up already? So, you foolishly sign Batum. Then stretch out the pain of the Batum contract to make room for Batum 2.0? All while losing your All NBA PG. Sure looks like they’re prepping for Ball to eventually leave too. Ball will have Batum making 9 mill his first 3 years in the league!!!!! Lol

They had to waive Batum to have the cap space to absorb Hayward.
No way Boston or any other team was taking Batum. The main question is why the hell teams are suddenly happy to help other teams create massive trade exceptions for crappy 2nd round picks. Boston were going to be pretty screwed with ways to improve but now they have an easy way to trade just picks for good players.

What goes around comes around. Charlotte is giving Boston a massive favor here. All these GM's talk, they're friends. It's better to help everyone out because when you need help then they'd theoretically return the favor.

Trade exceptions don't actually get used all that often. The vast majority of them simply expire. I know GSW just used one, but most teams can't afford to add very much salary in Boston's situation, cap rules be damned.

Count me in aas being against a Hayward Stretch waive. that move convinces me that Jordan is not intending to build a champion. 9 Million dollars can be a starter. Not sure why the Hornets did not try to move some pieces around to reduce salary. They had quite a few options. Jordan remains an idiot at running a team.

Otto Porter Jr. from the Chicago Bulls is the first player in the 2020/21 season that has tested positive for COVID-19, sources tell ESPN.

I predicted his body would start breaking down in his new contract.......Really think the Mavs dodged a huge bullet.....Not surprised Ainge has been trying to trade him.....We'll see.

Kemba was fine until that knee injury last season in January. It seems he cannot recover from it. Awful luck.
