They're in a clear rebuilding mode, and if he needs to get rid of either of those guys later on, he has a mountain of picks to use to get rid of them.

I don't see the Mavs moving down to 25 and 28 unless it sheds them Wright/Powell or if that's the preferred deal for a team in a trade.
I would move down if it nets Green and sheds Wright/Powell. That's barring someone we really really like falling. If Hayes or Lewis are there it'll be hard to pass up for me. But I wouldn't hate trading down to 25 if you got say Terry and any one of those defenders projected from late 1st to early 2nd. Plus Green.

Still think picking at #18 is more likely, and #31/Wright/Jax going out for Danny Green. Wright isn't even that horrible of a contract.
MLE for a guy like Millsap? To cover KP for the first 2 months. I think Powell is going nowhere, not even sure if the Mavs really want to trade him. I guess that would have to answered with Yes first.

I fear there's a big drop-off after late lottery and thus there won't be a guy the Mavs are that excited about at 18 if they can't move up into that late lotto to get their guy. With that I wonder if they are eager to trade 18 altogether.
I am thinking Mavs will not pick at 18. They will trade up, trade down or trade away 18.

Delon's deal I maintain shouldn't be that big of a problem. He's got only 2 years left. An extra year at 9 mill isn't going to be a difference maker in a deal that a team that doesn't need cap space. 3 years of 10+ mill for Dwight is much harder to stomach. He'd be my priority to offload. Wright is a bad fit here but he's a really solid player and we can at least really use his defense. I'm not so sure that WCS won't be better than Dwight if he's here next year.

Just an FYI when I use the / between players it's a take your pick of those options and not both. I'll start typing it out because you are the 2nd person to comment on that post and take it as an AND haha. I'm headed to the gym to workout. I'll be sure to throw up some one legged fades on the court to invoke the spirit of Dirk tonight for the Mavs draft night moves.

Just Gallo for #18? That would be a bad deal for us. He's an UFA and OKC is clearly rebuilding. They have no leverage.
Gotta be smth coming back to us here.

Incidentally, this has to mean that Adams is gone, right? https://twitter.com/JusAnderson1/status/...25289?s=20 Lol, I know it's just a photo op, but I find it funny that we have more info in this thread than what Donnie has on that lone piece of paper.
