Trade & Free Agency 2026/2027

That's probably the way I'd go, too.

The only one I'd waiver on is Pouladkidis, but with Cisse now on the roster, it doesn't seem like there's a better alternative. I really like KO, the center, but he's like 26. What's the point, really?

Giving him an AARP membership at 26?

Maybe this is all crazy talk but I wonder if there is any connection between Zach, Cisse and Nembhard.   I know there is not any rush for the Mavs to make roster moves now, but still it could impact planning.

Did the Knicks know the the Hawks trade was close and thought it was a prime time to try to steal Cisse when the Mavs had a full roster?
Did the Mavs decide to include Nembhard in the trade after the Cisse offer as is spot suddenly disappeared when they decided they wanted to match?

I just wonder if this was a very small piece added when the Cisse offer came in.   Again, maybe crazy talk.

No, but my general goal with a two way would be to develop someone for a real contract, eventually. It seems like a long shot that the investment would pay off with someone that far along in age.

Is that Mike Schmitz music? Kidding. It won’t be the mavs. Or will it?

We can’t deal Naji because he will be playing part-time point guard again by January lol

Ish to me was a lock to be a two way and want be shocked if makes the Mavs 15 this season, just too talented to let anyone steal hem.

John saved his spot with the last two games and with Cisse getting a big club contract and guessing here but the fact Klay will be gone sooner than later.

Lawal is most likely to get the third 2 way, but he better have a good training camp and spend a lot of time working till then or he could be replaced, with a guard or center depending on who is traded.

Kao is still someone who they might add if there is an opening.

I for one wonder if putting all your eggs into just one playing style is wise, I might think that having a Marshall with his drive to make players pay for hammering Cooper and he ability to get in the lane and score one some really hard shots wouldn't come in handy, plus I think I see him as a great team player.  I don't think it will happen but BWill and his speed is something no one on this team has and were Ryan dribble till the cows come home BWill could go end to end in less that 4 seconds and was starting to learn from Kyrie how and when to slow and pass.

A stab at minutes distribution with the (extremely questionable) presumption that the Mavs are done and won't make any more moves aside from buying out Klay (which you all know would piss me off). This is in terms of the entire season on average, when everyone is healthy.

PG: Kyrie (30), Sasser (15), Sergio (3)
SG: Max (17), Sasser (8), Sergio (17), Flagg (6)
SF: Flagg (12), Naji (20), Risacher (10), Tarik (6)
PF: Morez (12), Flagg (12), PJ (11), Aldama (13)
C: Gafford (15), Morez (13), Lively/Cisse (13), PJ (7)

Flagg - 30
Kyrie - 30
Morez - 25
Sasser - 23 ("Gimme a break, why is he 4th in minutes?" because he's our POA defender.)
Sergio - 20
Naji - 20
PJ - 18
Max - 17
Gafford - 15
Aldama - 13
Lively - 13
Cisse (plays when Lively injured)- 13
Risacher - 10
Tarik - 6
Martin - LOL

So much about this doesn't look right. More evidence of further moves coming.

Mavs signed Jett Howard(former Michigan first rounder who never found a footing yet) to a two way contract. Another big wing shooter. Seva will probably be stashed.

If Seva gets stashed, I will be extremely pissed. He showed he belongs in this league this summer.

Those who look at our roster and say, "Need to clear out one roster slot" are as wrong as Patsy Cline. Need two - to slot in Seva.

I have always assumed Seva would be stashed, hopefully with Dallas help to get him to a better Euro team. That said, I would not assume JP has a lock on the last 2-way.

Perhaps where we see forwards, M&M see tall guards.

Jett Howard apparently tweaked his 3-point shot as it improved by a lot this last season in Orlando. He looks like a decent athlete with a developing perimeter game. He's strictly a SF type (22yrs old)

Wow, picked 11th overall in 2023! Already scrounging for a two-way!!!

I mean, I guess that's cool for Dallas. Might be talented.
