SL Game 1: Dallas Mavericks vs. GS Warriors | 6:00PM CST | ESPN
I swear I need to hide my Lively love due to inability to stay on the floor, but a healthy Lively/Johnson pairing is an elite big man role player heaven. They will be perfect for Flagg.

When Lively is back, that threesome will be on shutdown mode on D.

Again, I can't believe college teams had to go against that Michigan front line last year.   That is ridiculous.

Nope. Give me M-Rex and 4 years.

To be fair, I don’t remember any comment saying they wanted Yaxel over Rez. Maybe I missed the odd comment.

Praising one guy for being good doesn’t mean anyone was hating on our pick.

Johnson is a consistent jumper away from the combination of any TWO of them being elite, imho. Interchangeable and combinable in all sorts of interesting ways.

Ok. But some were saying Yaxel was a man among boys, the best on the court. Stats say diff. Rez was a force on both ends.

Is your goal here to make everyone hate you and start dm'ing us to get rid of you...

...because it's working.

Rez is just what we all hoped for! I’m a little worried about the Spaniard. He seemed awkward and overmatched athletically. He’ll need to work on that body to make it into an NBA rotation. Ish flashed some potential. He was a great pick from that spot in the draft.

I hope his willingness to take them continues in real games.  His form looks good and his misses weren't too far off.

Hopefully Sergio and Ish become weight room buddies.

I actually expected him to seem outmatched athletically, but DIDN'T come away with that impression. His length makes him a pretty imposing presence out there, imo.

I think his handle needs a lot of work if he's going to be on-ball (but he might not be, right away) and goodness gracious I hope this was just a poor shooting night for him.

I don’t go strictly by stats. I thought Yaxel was as a bit more dominant and also he is clearly a wing and is the same height as Rez.

Both have the potential for being very very good. I am thrilled with our pick

I honestly expected Yaxel to be better than Morez not just for this game, but for at least a quarter of the early NBA season. But Rez just has that dawg in him to contribute right away. And even if Yaxel has more skill, Rez is there with him on this game. I expect Rez to be the better player as the season progresses.

As opposed to Larry, I expected him to struggle because of him having the jitters. His first official NBA game, would look pretty much the same if not worse. And it may take a few more games until he gets those butterflies out of his system. It's a good thing there's summer league and pre-season for that. But come his 10th to 15th game of the regular season -- watch out for Larry. He'd leapfrog a lot of Mavs on the totem pole.

Ish -- pleasantly surprised. Dude has it.

I think one of the few true things the commentators said was that Sergio was having to adjust to the pace of the game. He looked much better in the second half. Let’s see after 4 games.

Rez's game will translate immediately to the pro game I think. He's not a guy who disappears in games. He must have set 30 screens tonight. He rebounds, blocks shots, and had 27 points. He's the in-the-paint version of Flagg.

I might extend the timeframe of that a bit.  Maybe it's the positions they play, but I just think Yaxel is better right now but I wouldn't hate having either of them on my team.  Thankfully we have one of them.

If the Mavs got 3-4 starter/rotational guys from this draft (including the Turkish sharpshooter) then that’s pretty incredible.
