Mavericks first-round pick Sergio De Larrea, I’m told, is now indeed expected to play in summer league next week … while the broader topic of plans for next season continue to be worked through.

Sergio is for real

Is there any kind of buy-out due to De Larrea's previous team?

Yes, I seem to remember it was/is $5 million.

Honestly, having owners with deep pockets has been pretty rad, so far.

Is  Vsevolod Ishchenko (totally cut and pasted that)   playing summer league?

I don't believe he is a two way guy yet.   Probably best to get him in a higher European league next year.  From what I understand the Russian league is not very athletic at all.

I have no idea what the rules are with college.  The Clippers drafted someone who is playing college next year.   He was automatically draft eligible while Vsevolod declared for the draft.  That probably ends his ability to play in college right?  Ideally having him in the states playing in college would the ideal spot for him.   I just don't think it is possible now.

More summer league updates for @DLLS_Mavs fans:

Talks continue to secure the needed international clearance for No. 56 pick Vsevolod Ishchenko to play for Dallas in Vegas.

Moussa Cissé is a restricted free agent now and not expected to play summer league when not signed.

Dallas Mavericks shooting guard John Poulakidas is expected to play for Dallas in Summer League, sources tell @thesmokingcuban.

Poulakidas averaged 8.8 points per game as a rookie while shooting over 40% from 3-point range on 5.9 attempts per game.

John PullAThreeForUs is in my top 5 current Mavs. Killer doesn't even know he's on our team.

His shot looks god awful. He is either all net or barely rim. No touch or rotation, no friendly bounces.

He has big balls but not sure he has much more than that.

He's also left handed which is always an advantage.  If I could hit at a 40% rate with no touch or rotation, I'd be pretty happy with myself.

I believe it was mentioned because he is a rfa that he may not be playing in summer league.

How old is he? I guess I didn't expect to see him there.

This might be the first time in a long time that we have a summer league team that we should expect to win some games.

If he´s coming over for SL, he´s not going back. Two-way or regular contract.

23. Rookie on a two-way deal last season. Usually that's the kind of guy that plays in summer league.

It's probably about Winter's point regarding his RFA status, then.
