Where can we get some of these mid players that other teams are willing to pay unprotected picks for? This seems to be the key to team building right now.

Yeah, like...I know half the city and all of the team's front office were probably ready to turn the page on LeBron, so I get it, but...functionally, on the court, it's a pretty big hole they can't fill now.

Lets see what else they have in store.    With no draft assets and time with cap space, they need to be very aggressive now.   FA is probably dried up, but this is the time it appears.     So Kessler, Grimes and Mamu (& Carr).   Who are going to be their defenders?

The Gafford spots are all drying up.   Need May to do his thing and get him and PJ's value back up.

Stuck with Gafford and PJ would piss me off, but some people think it's no big deal.

I disagree that Collins is that close to PJW as an overall player, but I will say that he's a forward WHO CAN SHOOT, which is what 90% of teams are out there needing, including the Mavericks, so...functionally, I find myself agreeing with your point.

I didn't use the word "terrible." You added that. Idk, man...the numbers do move the needle (on my perception of Collins, at least). I definitely don't want to get lumped in with the PJW haters - I've always been his biggest fan here, including being one of only 2-3 people who even wanted him here. Mostly, my issue with him here in Dallas these days is his fit with Flagg, though I'm willing to see what May does with that. I've always maintained that he's a valuable player, and I for sure think he's better than Collins.

Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes and Sandro Mamukelashvili will all go into the Lakers cap space.

Collin Sexton will come in via the Room Exception.

LA probably needs to get off a contract somewhere by my count, but this is the Lakers offseason wrapped up.

WTF. That´s a first question mark, if Schmitz does not get us a better back-up PG. Available minutes are probably roughly equal and we could have added some money.

Utah is a bad city.

SLC is visually attractive, but I wouldn't want to live there.

OTOH, I don't get the allure of LAL, other than the lingering "Showtime" pantina and NBA's commitment to having a high visibility team in the #2 TV market. IMO, living in the city is a daily PITA, even if you are a young multi-millionaire. 

But I'm old so what do I know.
