Retaining Duren and adding Powell or Herro would've been a good offseason.  If their offseason ends up being Isiah Joe, Kevin Huerter, Sabonis, and letting Stewart go, that is an F.  We shall see.

That is true.  Probably best to wait until all the dominoes land.

So what is Utah doing?  They supposedly are signing Nurkic for 2 years 11 million.    That got the other teams hot and bothered that Kessler may be available.     I am a fan of Kessler but he has not played much and maybe I am overrating him.   Supposedly Utah is struggling with his value as well.   He is a restricted free agent.

Utah has Nurkic and both Lauri and Jaren Jackson can play center.  Although both are better playing next to a center.    That really limits the PF minutes though.

If I know Ainge though, he will not let an asset walk for .50 on the dollar.    He is more likely to play hardball with Kessler.   Just found it interesting with their logjam what their plan is going to be.

I echo these sentiments. I don't know what Detroit is going to do next. They are my second favorite team, as I was born and raised there, and reveled in their 3 championships. I don't believe for one bit they're going to sign and trade Duren. It's postering. The unfortunate part is that if someone like the Kings or Lakers give him an offer sheet, they'd have to match, and that would torpedo their flexibility, as they still have to sign Ausar Thompson. Drafting Okorie seemed prudent as he ascended up most draft boards. I didn't like the Kevin Huerter signing at all. He's not the same knockdown shooter he was with Atlanta. I'd rather keep Duncan Robinson, who's better from 3. Free agency starts in earnest tonight. I would think they'll make other moves to improve on a good season last year that nobody saw coming.

An Anthony Davis trade to the Warriors is unlikely, per @WindhorstESPN

The Warriors have told Jimmy Butler they will not trade him, and the Wizards are not interested.

Yep, the top targets all re-signed with their previous team: Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, Collin Gillespie

I am out on Cason as well. Solid two way guard but he is not worth trading multiple 1st round picks.

Seems like there would need to be draft picks attached to Scoot in that deal.

Naji is a proven, reliable two-way player.

Scoot is an unproven, unreliable player who has shown occasional flashes.

No way Portland includes draft picks. Scoot is a young former top-3 pick who we’d be betting on his upside in the deal.

They can just take him back into the Hardy TPE or the BAE.

Free agent Simone Fontecchio intends to sign a one-year deal to return to the Miami Heat, sources tell ESPN. Heat officials worked with Fontecchio's agent at Excel Sports Management, Sam Goldfeder, to bring back the shooter who averaged 8.5 points and 37.5% 3-point shooting.

Trying to make sense of this...

Because Sasser on paper doesn't really fit as he's a smaller score first guard. If we wanted one of those, we could just keep BWill...

But maybe he's a smaller piece of the Kings-Duren SnT where the Mavs are getting Sasser+something. He fits well into the BAE or the Hardy TPE.

Could Malik Monk also be coming to Dallas?

Yay?  A sign that Williams is gone perhaps?
