At this point I think the value is in the mid 30s. Would prefer to have two picks in that range over 30+48. There is a real cut off point in the early/mid 40s. Picking 30 or 35 doesn't really matter based on my evaluation of the remaining talent. Picking 35 instead of 48 makes a big difference.

I also understand the frustration because Morez came up the boards late and he was not a consensus pick that we all had time to think over and accept.  However, I also don't see Morez as purely a 5 to replace Lively or Gafford. If so, his value immediately drops for me.

I see him as someone who can guard the 3,4 or 5 and can do enough offensively to keep defenses not cheating off him on Flagg.  His highlights show a guy who moves very well without the ball and also one who can catch the ball and take that one driibble to weave in traffic and score.  His outside shot also holds promise.

A Lively/Morez/Flagg lineup screams Michigan which I don't think works in NBA.  Another reason for me to be concerned.  If Gafford is still on this roster at the start of the season I will be even more disappointed.

Need to upgrade Kornet and limit Wemby's minutes in the regular season so I'd say it's very sane.

They needed to limit his minutes in the playoffs as well. He literally ran out of gas.  Makes sense why they are going for bigs. If one of them pans out, the Spurs would already have won, let alone if both of them pan out

Sure but if Wemby is playing 30 minutes, and Kornet another 15, that leaves barely any left for Reed.

Quaintance is a red shirt year, but they are going to have 4 centers on their roster.

They might try that lineup - that's a legit concern. Unlike Kidd, I think May will LEARN as he tries things.

Jonas is only going back to Europe if Denver lets him go, which was not decided yet. His Europe contract has this clause in, I have read

The "good" news about a Lively/Morez/Flagg lineup is that it will quickly become a Morez/Flagg lineup based on Lively's injury history and probably why they drafted that position in the first place.

This is what "BPA" looks like. I tried to pushback these past months, but now that it's done, the people who feel that way need to support it. 

It's an indication that they're going to build patiently, I'll say that.

Flagg is 19.  The roster will look different 4 years from now.  I wouldn't fret about that as much as worry if Morez can be a very good NBA player. If he can, then we will have options.

Knowing Masai' past draft, he has never really looked at just the short term outlook.  With such a huge window for Flagg, he has a longer leash than usual.  So he really must feel that 4 years from now Morez will be one of the better players among the options he had left at the spot we picked.
