Interesting. A red shirt because they can, basically.

Shades of DeJuan Blair, back in the day.

Oh WOW

Spurs take Quaintance.

I suppose they had nothing to lose. Major upside talent.

Carr was another guy i did not study much and one I have doubts on.  He fits the Masai blueprint though.  Will need to trade up.  Not a creator but a scorer.

I don't think Carr is a Masai guy.  He left Tennessee because he wouldn't play defense (and didn't at Baylor either).

There were a lot of medical red flags coming up for Jayden Quaintance, with many teams scared about his troublesome knee. San Antonio has the opportunity to slow roll his return from a torn ACL.

Two of pJ, gafford, Marshall probably not on tram next year. Not sure which. Initial thought it pj is the one back. We will see though.

Yeah, I feel a decent talent will be there at 30.

Agreed. Flemings is the only small dude taken so far, really.

I guess the Knicks would take Peat. Lakers just lost their Andrew Bynum.

Tankathon now thinks Thomas for Mavs at #30.

So picks 23,24,25 all are probably available. I don’t think Gafford is worth only moving up 5-7 spots. Maybe straight up or toss in 48.

I kind of thought Lopez might land in SA.

If we believe into this super big line-ups system, then Marshall might as well play back-up PG.

And 185 lbs...with not much room to put more weight on. And if he DOES put weight on, he gets slower and doesn't jump so high.

I'd take him at 30 for sure, but not worth getting into a twist over.

I liked Burries and would have drafted him, but he also doesn't seem like a Robin

I know we talk about the offense and lack of creation, but in this day and age teams are scoring a lot anyway.  Even the Mavs scored a ton with a 19 year old rookie at the helm, but couldn't really stop anyone.

If elite scoring guards / forwards are the QBs of the NBA, then big, athletic switchable bigs are like cornerbacks in the NBA.  You need both.  Curry for all his greatness would not have won without someone like Draymond, despite all his craziness. I'm not saying Morez can become a Draymond because Draymond is a unique player, but defense at the 3,4 spot matters a lot.

You might get guards who can play like a Nembhardt or a Poulakidas who hit a ton of 3s but finding big athletic wings is much more difficult.

Not the pick I was expecting at 9, but given what was left and the run on forwards that ensued after the Mavs pick, I can see the Mavs thought process.

Gafford just lost value.  He makes no sense on this team now.

Neither do Kuminga or Risacher on the Hawks, now that the mighty Wiggins has arrived in Atlanta.

Yeah, but he makes sense for the Hawks or Lakers who missed out on all the bigs.

Wait, Carr has also dropped. Im surprised.

Lots of intriguing guards still available with 9 picks to go:

Philon, Carr, Larrea.

And still intriguing overall prospects. Koa Peat, Isaiah Evans, and Lopez.

This kind of mentality is why the previous regimes always came out on the short end of every deal

His value is still the same.  I hope Masai is under no hurry to just jettison him off for nothing.  Morez can play the 3,4 and 5.  Lively might play a week and get hurt again.  There is no rush to just artificially lower Gafford's value.
