...but this for sure isn't a Robin.

After 5, teams don't hope for Robin/Batman. And a lot of times it is the reason they get one.

Teams win with depth now, if Morez can be an important winning peace, he is a good pick.

Honestly, if Lively is healthy they now have two of the best options to guard Wembenyama (4 if you count Flagg and PJW) in the entire NBA.

Not really a wing though as he has zero handle. Strictly rim running, cuts and a shaky catch and shoot three ball.

Morez is a fine prospect but they essentially picked a younger Maxi Kleber. He can be a good piece to build with but I think he is a reach at #9. High floor low ceiling
pick.

He’s definitely the best potential Wemby defender in the draft. Not a bad one to have given Wemby’s possible dominance the next decade.

To those who are upset, the real issue is Kidd and the previous regime having no clue and teams having more talent than the Mavs knowing how to tank properly. It was literally only Burries left and if the front office were not sold on him, you can't blame them for going in another direction. It's not like they had a plethora of choices and went and selected someone else randomly.

I like Burries. The only concern I have is that he´s not aggressive/selfish enough and I´d be more ready for a stupid chucker than living through the Josh Green experience again. If Burries finds the me-me-me button it will balance out with his personality and he´s gone be awesome.
