Game 42: Dallas Mavericks (15-26) vs. Utah Jazz (14-26)
#21
I was watching an in season try out for these bench guys and G league guys. They certainly gave good effort. This also serves as an audition for guys we want to trade.

Powell is very quietly having a decent season. It's a shame - about two seasons too late to get something modest for him, I think.

Wonder what was going through Klay’s mind as he ran with that bunch last night? Not what he imagined when he signed here last Summer. Heck, none of us could have imagined 18 months ago the team we’re watching right now.

Again, I am not going to fuss over a win her or there.   One team needs to win when two bad teams play each other.  Mavs have already lost to the Jazz twice.   Jazz was off a back to back too, but not too promising that their youngsters were taken to the hard by that Maverick team.   I do hope Utah keeps their pick.  I would hate for #9 or #10 go to OKC.

I expect Mavs and Utah (with  few other teams) are close to each other for most of the year.  Looking after the next Utah game, the Mavs schedule gets pretty tough.  Some home games in there but I don't see any easy wins for the Mavs.   I expect them to win 2-4 of those games, but I think that is the max.  I looked ahead 14 games.
