AROUND the NBA:
I can't remember the guy who wrote that OKC should be scared to face Dallas or Memphis. Too funny.

So glad we did not get the OKC buzz saw. Would have made
Me feel much worse wondering how the mavs ever get to that level. Better not thinking about it this year.

Just so annoying seeing that the Warriors are good again
was hoping they were hopeless and done a few months ago

I'm sorry for Klay, he should have re-signed there... Nico screwed him too.

Cavs won with 90points from Garland, Mitchell and Jerome... Where are they in our cavs mocking roster?

The Jimmy Butler effect. He may wear out his welcome with teams after a while,  but he turns up in the playoffs.  He dragged a so-so Heat team to two NBA finals.

He runs hot and cold. But he can say he's still playing, at least.

Timmy is like Dinwiddie. No contender team players.

Pelicans hire Troy Weaver as Executive VP. Interesting...

Warriors are in trouble if Butler is hurt. Buddy Hield is useless...even the 2025 version of Klay Thompson is much better

Not sure who is making decisions for the Rockets but they have been spot on the last few years. Maybe the Senguin pick was the previous team, but that is the few mistakes OKC has made.

The coach was a great call, veteran leadership has really helped and have been good in the draft. Jabari Smith is still tbd on his upside and you haven’t seen enough of Sheppard to make a conclusion.

Even their decision to give the nets a pick or two back for the Phx picks looks like a really nice gamble. Only way PHx has out is to eventually move Booker, it appears. When they reach that, Houstonis smiling with a full hand.

Udoka took Boston to the finals in his first year. He can coach, and I'm sure he's learned a lot from Pop... If he didn't get caught up in some personal BS, he'd still be there. That's why I said as soon as he got the Rockets job, he was going to get them back on track. Rafeal Stone, the GM, has done a good job with drafting and adding some vets to this young athletic team.  I think they're going to have to be reckoned with soon.

THJ had a 0-fer last game and didn't score. Well, he's 5-5 from 3 and has 18 pts in the 1st half.

OKC should probably be my backup team but I can't stand them
actively rooting against them and the Warriors

Looks like Dort took Moran out for the series last night. IMO, he's right up there with some of the HOU players for player safety.

I disagree. It was just an unfortunate play. Dort says he didn't know he was behind him until it was too late. Ja is always airborne going downhill to the rim. He's freakishly athletic for his size, so he's going to be more susceptible to injuries.

All new owners make the same mistake. They go big game hunting. Houston did it. Phoenix did it. Clippers did it. The 2-3 aging superstar veterans model never works. It has been blatantly obvious for many years now. The only reason Bron/AD worked was the COVID bubble, that allowed an aging superstar and a lazy injure prone star a two months training camp to have a four week season. Maybe that´s the solution to all of Nicos problems. He needs another worldwide pandemic to make Kyrie/AD work.
