Game 7: Indiana Pacers (2-4) vs. Dallas Mavericks (4-2) | 8:45pm CST

The worst thing about the Mavericks so far this season has been their floor wiping crew.

I no longer feel the need to qualify statements like this, personally. Anyone who doesn’t recognize Luka’s greatness is willfully ignorant, but his shortcomings are equally obvious at this point.

I always want to qualify it because imo Luka gets criticized way too much by everyone. So he doesn't need to be piled on top by Mav fans too.

But yeah...

I hate that Gafford is coming back in.

Fair. But, we’re all Mavs fans here.

Well, most of us.

I dont understand this team at times.

They look woefully under prepared and under coached.

Not to beat a dead horse, but they look under-Lively to me.

Sure Lively would have helped but he also has trouble guarding stretch 5’s. The defense just has not been good enough all the way around. Just way too many easy baskets. Kidd got his work cut out for him.

Well, I’ll say this: they certainly pick and choose which spots they are going to play hard. I’m not sure that’s the cardinal sin fans think it is, but it has been a noticeable trend during the start of this season.

Luka actively backs away from Haliburton because he doesn't want to exert the energy. Gafford doesn't know what to do and gives the wide open shot anyways.

No set plan on offense to get anyone a wide open shot and its just iso ball after iso ball. Horrible offensive shot quality that leads to easy leak outs for Pacers.

It makes my blood boil.

Pj may not want to shoot again.  Golly, is his shot off.

There is an elite two way player in him but if he doesn’t consistently hit those wide open three (36 plus) he will be a liability quite a bit.

I don't think they have earned  the right to do that frankly. Especially a Luka led team where a low effort performance spells an almost guaranteed double digit deficit.

You miss a few shots and it is an 8 point game. Just no defense to get stops.

Good game. When Mathurin hits an in your face 3 like that, there's nothing else you can do. Pacers come in and shoot nearly 60% from the floor as a team.

Doesn't matter what you do at that point. Mavs have no pride and let the Pacers walk all over them the entire night. Shit game from Luka. Kyrie too little too late. PJ a no show. Same with Gafford.

Wow Luka's defense is horrendous, every Pacers point in the last 5 minutes has been on him.

That should've been an and-1 for PJ

Perhaps since Rick was here he thought he was still coaching him.
