AROUND the NBA:
The Nugs problems go beyond just their bench. Swapping KCP for Christian Braun is a big talent drop off in the starting lineup and an even bigger drop off from a shooting perspective. He was very hesitant last night when he was wide open and defenses will be quick to exploit that. When there's no spacing, there's no passing lanes for Jokic to find and do his thing.

Bucks lose to the upstart Bulls. Giannis and Dame both had pretty great games all things considering. Didn't matter and they're down 13 with a minute remaining.

I hope they put it together because I seriously hope Giannis remains in the East.

the West is so strong. Even Portland would have a solid shot at the play-in out East

Phoenix is decimating the Lakers right now. 8 threes in the first quarter and the ball movement looks fantastic.

Seems like Beal is off to a nice start this season. I'm glad the Mavs are catching them on the second night of a back to back tomorrow.

Lakers turn it into a free throw game and have come back. Down by 9 going into the half instead of being down 22.

Austin Reaves is so good.

Austin Reaves has been the catalyst that willed the Lakers back into this. He's doing everything.

I'm glad cause I want this game to be as close as possible and hopefully go into a couple of overtime's so the Suns are as gassed as possible for tomorrow.

Mavs perimeter defense will be tested no matter what though.

I was so ready for the Suns to die an agonising death with Durant eventually abandoning ship and then they had to go out and nail every off season move.

remember when trading for D’Lo and Vanderbilt seemed like a safer deal than Kyrie?

Watching the Blazers vs. Pelicans and the Pelicans look flat man. No real point guard play. No rim protection.

Plus the Blazers look 10x better with Clingan on the court than Ayton. He does a lot of little things even though he runs like he's 70 years old before he's even 21.

I'm glad the Suns didn't keep Ayton
not great but he's on a total different level than Nurkic

Phoenix still has no center play. Jaxon Hayes looks more than competent against their bench. Rui getting to the rim at will.

For all the shit Ayton deservedly gets regarding effort, his talent is still immense. He can turn into 2 months of a 20ppg/15rpg guy at any moment. At the same time he can also just never show up.

If the contracts were even, I'd still take Ayton over Nurkic every time if I had to choose.

Phoenix going ultra small against the Lakers now.

Jones (6'1)
Booker (6'6')
Beal (6'4)
O'Neal (6'4)
Durant (7'0)

Against

Lebron (6'9)
Reaves (6'5)
D'Lo (6'3)
Hachimura (6'8)
Vincent (6'3)
Davis (6'10)

So far Lakers already had an AD dunk and a trip down with 3 offensive boards.

I cannot watch KD play without cheering enthusiastically for the other team. His offensive fouls are outrageous. He whines like a spoiled brat. And he does nothing to support his teammates. Great talent but I really can’t stand him. (Is he the reason Vogel got fired?)

An Ingram prayer and a Chauncey Billups disaster-class in coaching (or masterclass in tanking?) gives the Pelicans a win by the skin of their teeth.

Ayton blew 4 dunks. Can't believe he didn't stick with the center that helped build a double digit lead.

Whose three-point shooting form is prettier? Caitlin's or Klay's?

Caitlin Clark sinks 25 straight 3s in offseason workout at the Fever practice facility

I think Klay has the sweetest shooting action I've ever seen in the NBA... but CC has him beat. Big Grin

And she's already putting in work even though the new WNBA season is 8 months away... wish Luka was the same. Sad
