It is Dinwiddie. Interesting to see how it plays out.

Ugh, knew it.

big man hitting threes in an open gym is pretty worthless. Hint...NBA players are really talented. Still though...when it is your guy...you post it.

So how many games before Dereck Lively is a bonafide all-star next season?

2? 5? If he's hitting 3s like that, then he is unstoppable.

Teach him to make a stepback one-legged leaner on the elbow and you have a nice option for some PF minutes.

Plus how often is he going to be in this corner position anyway. Sometimes I think teams completely lose focus on what is important. if Lively with his ability to see the floor and pass the ball, develops an offensive game in the post to about 8-10 feet and shoots FTs at +80%, it´s a lot more useful than making 33% on two corner threes a game.

I think the use of Lively in the corner is an attempt to lessen the impact of the Boston-style systems. IF you get the best defender switched onto Lively then he goes to the corner and is enough of a threat that he can't be left then Luka gets to pick the player to attack out of the remaining 4. Now run the P & R with the 4 (Wash/Naji/Maxi) and the best defender is no longer able to help/switch. At that point we hope Naji can do some of the things DJJ did offensively as a flyer.

Generally I agree - but when you have the best slasher in the game in Luka (as long as his knees and ankles are healthy) and probably another Top 5 or Top 10 slasher in Kyrie the ability to spread the floor is of highest importance. You‘ll see it next year as the „Klay-effect“ as well - I guess we probably won’t get much more points from three by adding an alltime great shooter, but more easy points from close range.

Good for him. He's nowhere close to ready for this team.

That is true, but it also sounds like the contract was signed with a clear plan in place. One year contract means no buyout problems for the Mavs. I wouldn´t be surprised to see him on the main roster as a cheap filler next season.

Also Lyon-Villeurbanne is the top French team with a EuroLeague spot. So this will be a signficant step up for Ajinca from his current team. Won´t be easy, but he´ll have an opportunity to play in the 2nd best basketball competition in the world, IF he is good enough. So the pathway to the NBA is drawn with another step up in competition.

Remember him?

Many former Mavs picks have found success at the highest level in Europe. Beaubois and Larkin are the European Splash brothers. Big Grin

Some things just don´t make sense.

I still can´t work out how Nando de Colo never had an NBA career. He was a good defender/passer and he´s now had EIGHT!!! 50/40/90 Euro League seasons. The next best guy has four I think.

J Kidd's stats in 19 seasons, remarkable.

Jaden posted some workout pictures in dallas in Instagram. Great sign that him, LIvely and hopefully Omax are all staying mostly in dallas this offseason. Big year for all three at different stages.

I really like the Dinwiddie signing. If he played like he did in '21, it is going to be tough to keep him out of the rotation. Privately though, I am hoping both Exum and Jaden make a run at those minutes. It will be a win/win if all three deserve minutes with their play.

Austrilia won their first game yesterday. Exum did not play. Green played 12 minutes, had 4 assists but no points.

Klay looking young and spry. Ought to make some NBA coaches worried. Should make Luka sleep with a smile on his face.

BTW, is there no way to direct copy or reference a video from "X"? All we can do is provide the link?

Unfortunately after Elon Musk changed Twitter's API usage policies, our old script died. I've tried literally every single pre-written script and even tried to write my own and no dice.

Im no computer science guy so maybe I'm doing something wrong though.
