GAME 1 Playoffs 2024: Dallas Mavericks (0-0) vs. Boston Celtics (0-0)
Both teams regressing to the mean, as far as shooting percentages.

Rebounds starting to even up.

ESPN has Boston 85% chance of winning, but the emotions don’t feel that way.

It can be pretty devastating to have a huge lead, and give it up.

Crazy what happens when you make shots.

When Kyrie and Luka get some breaks, who steps up for Dallas. I think I go with Exum.

Great response by Dallas. Just need to stop the big Boston run

But YES, regardless of what happens for the rest of this game, full credit to the Mavericks for not laying down after that abysmal first half.

They have the heart. No they just need the brain (new gameplan).

I said we need to rattle them in game one to have a chance in this series. Clearly Kidd devised a plan to do that.

Feels like Wolves game 2. We’ve played poorly all game but somehow in it still

Lively not playing smart and he's close to getting a T. He keeps throwing his hands at the ref

Those unnecessary fouls from Lively hurt now. Two of them away from the ball.

It´s like I can see into the future. Fucking snowflake gets calls like no other big in the NBA. If Dirk got those calls, he´d have shot 2000 FTs against the Warriors in 2007.

No clue what Lively is doing out there

Kidd not going to challenge that?

Kyrie is unfortunately the difference right now. He's really hurting us. At least Luka is on a tear.

Kyrie has not been good enough.

After timeout, a few turnovers, offensive rebounds and missed shots.

Tough after that timeout. Mavs had their chance.

Not smart play by Lively. I would have taken him out. Way too aggressive with foul trouble.

Luka and Kai played whole quarter. Gassed. Thought he should’ve called timeout and gotten Lively out after foul 4. Wasted some of that comeback.

I’m sorry, I don’t want to be negative, but I don’t think this is going to work if Luka is just going to concede a blow by every time he is isolated. It’s just too much to ask the rest of the team to rotate perfectly against probably the best ball movement team in the entire NBA.
