If we remove Timmy and extend Wood for roughly the same amount that's a wash. Lets say we extend Maxi at his current rate and lose Bertans, then we are looking at +8 mil. That's 10. If we remove Green (trade or decline option) then you are looking at roughly the 15 mil it takes to supposedly sign Cam, plus the full MLE. This would assume all open roster spots this season are filled with one year vet mins.
If we remove Green (trade or decline option) -- that decision will be made in Oct, not June. But we'll say they pull the plug in Oct.
I don't know what cap sheet you see, so I'm using spotrac's numbers, and your assumptions with one difference (I think that an extension for Maxi will cost the projected MLE of approx 11M, and if they don't see him as worth that, then it won't happen).
That lands them around 130M total, counting the charge for empty roster spaces.
If they do get a way lower total, keep in mind that their spending becomes an either-or thing between (1) cap room + small MLE, or (2) big MLE + BAE. You never get both over-MLE cap room plus big MLE to spend.

Well that is pretty silly. I can understand not selling the farm for him, but that comment is silly.

Sounds like something you'd hear out of the likes of Skip Bayless.

Crowder would be perfect as our third wing, but no assets Phoenix would want for him, sadly. They can't have Maxi.

If it's mainly about money, maybe something like Powell/Green/Ntilikina for Crowder/Shamet works. Phoenix saves money now, gets out from under Shamet's extension, adds Green on his rookie deal, and gets Powell as a fill-in for McGee's open minutes. And Dallas gets their 3rd wing plus a shooter.

That's a Danny Ainge type of deal there. Dallas for the win !!

Sounds like Mitchell to NYK could happen today which hopefully creates some movement on the Mavs end as well in the coming days.

This is just a summary of some local Jazz reporters who folks in that thread are saying are reliable. They also mention that this isn't the last move the Jazz will be making.

Well if they are tanking they have no use for
Conley
Bogdanovic
Beasley
Clarkson
Beverley
Gay
Fournier or/and
Rose
Question is which suckas will give Ainge first round picks for any of these players.

Assuming we're offering cap relief as opposed to firsts that would mean the only name that really makes sense is Conley since every other name on that list other than Fournier is an expiring. I would be very down with Beasley/Bev though addressing our two biggest needs but don't see how we make that happen with what we got.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's any scenario wherein KD staying in BKN ever again becomes a stable situation. I think they might decide to keep him into training camp, to start the season, to the deadline, etc. But, I think we're going to be hearing about this same crap until he's on a new team. It's going to be torturous soon, probably already is for many of us.
I take your meaning to be that moves will start happening again soon, and I think you're right about that. If Mitchell gets traded to the Knicks, I'd wager that takes at least a couple of the near future trade proposals for KD off the table, yeah.

I think literally any of those players makes Dallas a little more dangerous this season, even Gay. As you say, the question will be the price. A deal would need to include Bertans to merit use of a future 1st from Dallas, imo, and even then I'm not sure it's the right move.
