So Detroit does something opportunistic with their cap space to accumulate more assets to build around their young star….something Cuban has never done.
And NY clears out cap space and goes and actually lands their guy before FA even starts…something Cuban has never done.
You don't think a forward thinking, self-aware version of the Mavs could've EASILY sold the Knicks on dealing No. 11 (Duren) and Kemba for the TPE, thereby signaling to NY that they were bidding out of the Brunson "derby", thus letting the Knicks not have to bid against themselves for JB???

I would like Grimes personally. Or our ‘23 pick. But why would Mark pay the tax for those 3 semi stiffs if he wouldn’t pay Jalen? Wonder what is headed Detroits way to take Burks and Noel. Must be something worth their while.
They're getting 2 2nd round picks back which one of them was their own. And NY is sending them 6 million dollars in cash.

I don’t. If it was the Mavs and Knicks both needing cap space to sign JB, then yeah maybe. Kind of like……Detroit.
If I’m NY no way am I handing assets to the Mavs to dump salary when they can STILL pay JB more than me no matter what I do.

Anyone know if you can return custom jerseys to the Mavs shop?

Quote:The Knicks have 11 first-round picks at their disposal. Don't be surprised if New York continues to be aggressive in addition to its expected coup of Brunson.
The Knicks are also gauging the market for Evan Fournier and Cam Reddish takers. On Tuesday night, Dejounte Murray started to be mentioned by league personnel as the next New York target alongside Brunson, as first reported by Marc Stein. However, that would seem to run counterintuitive to the Knicks' pitch of Brunson running his own team.

Sacramento, Portland, Boston and Brooklyn all registered some level of interest in Collins around the draft, but none of those teams appear far along with Atlanta on Collins deals at this juncture.

In addition to James Harden sacrificing some annual dollars, it's believed the Sixers are still exploring various trade options to free financial flexibility, as well as upgrade their roster with premium veteran talent. The two teams most often mentioned as Matisse Thybulle suitors have been Portland and Dallas.
