Hey, if he's here, I think he'll play well. Agreed.

Other teams hold mini-camps to find the next 2nd round draft gem. Mavs hold mini camps to find the least washed-up former NBA player.

If the roster stands pat, I like sliding DFS to SF and sliding Maxi into starting PF...
PG - Luka
SG - Brunson
SF - DFS
PF - Maxi
C - Wood

I would for sure be okay with going matchup dependent starters in regards to Maxi/Reggie

I like the lineup, but...
...if the roster stands pat, that lineup reeaaalllyy leans on Powell.

I just think as we have seen, Maxi's minutes really have to be watched. Especially in the regular season. If he is not right, his play drastically declines. I personally like him as a high minute bench player who will finish a good deal of games. But in the regular season I really watch his minutes. If Powell is here next year, I expect Powell is leaned on as a regular season innings eater to help keep Maxi fresh.

This is why I like PJ Washington for this team so much. If you can swap Bullock for PJ, who then takes Maxi's spot in the starting lineup - which then moves Maxi where he belongs as the back-up 4/5 instead of Powell.

I can't think of a player with a bigger dropoff from their rookie year. He had Luka/Lebron numbers.

I love how he reinvented himself in Memphis. Then he left for the pacers and then the drug suspension.
Still think he could be great in our now open Burke role.

Our shared love of DFS will forever endear you to me, but I have noticed that you are drawn to the weirdest players.
If I'm not mistaken, aren't you a fan of Tyreke Evans, DeMarcous Cousins, Lance Stephenson AND Jamale Mcgee???

Call it weird, but I call it realistic targets. I love udnerdogs.
Tyreke was a feel good story in Memphis until it wasn't. I am a fan of his. I'd put him in the same camp as my love for Millsap and Barton. Give him the Burke spot on our roster and he'd certainly be more useful in those limited opportunities.
Boogie is fun to watch, no idea if the apex brand of his basketball would lead to winning but once he started signing for minimum contracts, that's a tire I wouldn't mind kicking. That was more about infusing talent to round out the bench. He's was never someone I wanted the Mavs to pursue until he was dirt cheap.
I don't really have an opinion on Lance Stephenson.
McGee has really blossomed since his Washington/Denver/Shaqtin days and is a useful veteran that can be had on the cheap. Again, his addition is more about infusing talent into our rotation. I'm not a huge fan of his but he's useful and has a somewhat undeserved reputation after being one of Shaq's favorite targets.

I love Lance AKA “born-ready” for his antics on LeBron in the ECF back in the day.

First tweet sounds like the sources are the players, second tweet sounds like team sources trying to avoid premature celebration.
