Spurs get killed again against Pistons this time: 132-98.
That Spurs Dynasty finally lost its odor. Mavs are on their way to be a lock for best team in the south for the next 5 years.

As bad as the Spurs have been, they are only out of the 8th spot by 1.5 games. Which is crazy when you think about the Western Conference. Dallas hanging with the upper tier though and that is so sweet. Die Spurs Die

I don't want them to die. I want them to be incredibly mediocre for decades. Last time they died, they got TD. I want the smell of their dynasty and the "Spurs Way" to be a distant memory. I am thinking... Charlotte-like. Always knocking on the door, but can't get in and never picking at the top of the draft. I am good with that.
I want to beat them in the 1-8 playoff matchup every season for the rest of our lives... That isn't too much to ask, right?

Luka got robbed... They just made a mockery of the award for a gimmick has been. If Harden wins, fine but it was not and should not be Melo.

Well, playing at Milwaukee, Indiana, Toronto, and Philly on a single road trip is admittedly pretty brutal. At least they got to beat Memphis in the middle instead of playing Miami or something. Losing against all of those good teams definitely exposed them a bit, but I'm not writing them off just yet. They're a talented team.
I do think they need to find a way to get Conley going. He's been particularly bad lately and is playing well below expectations.

Below expectations is being kind. Conley has been an absolute train wreck. I don't know what happened over the summer for him, but he didn't pack his game with him on the move. All his positive stats are down and all of his negative stats are up. That is hard to do. He went from being one of the best non-allstars in the league last year (would have made it in the East), to being an anchor. He isn't even the beast on defense that he has been.
Bojan has been a great pickup for them, Mitchell and Gobert have been great, too. Ingles has been as equally terrible as Conley. So that is kinda their deal. If Conley and Ingles can get back to simply average contributors, rather than big negatives, then they should be able to right the ship. They tend to finish strong every year anyway. I expect them to be tough at season's end.

I've barely watched them (Maybe 4 or 5 quarters across 5 games), but my one big takeaway from watching was Conley is MIA. Dude looks lost and whenever he touches the ball something bad happens.
14.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.5apg, on 37/37/79.5 is Conley's split right now which is a MASSIVE regress. There could be more reasons but thats the biggest one that jumps right out at me.

All teams go through some adversity at some point in a long season, more so if key players are injured. They're having theirs now. They should right the ship, They are talented and usually one of the best defensively, especially if Conley and Ingles get going. Just remember, teams can start fast and finish poorly, just as easily as starting poorly and finishing on a good note.

They gave Luka and Harden participation trophies.

Thanks for the responses. From watching most of the second half of that game, it's apparent they were ending a long, brutal road trip. Just a few notes: Ingles looks to be a primary facilitator on offense, with Mike out, which takes the ball out of Mitchell's hands--not sure if that's the best move. But if Joe's going to continue to struggle with his shot, he's just slowing them down. Dante's been non existent and they don't seem to be able to hit from distance--at all and Royce is way down from last season. Aside from Rubio looks to be a big loss for them, they need consistent scoring from the entire unit to be in most games and it simply isn't happening.
On another note, it's possible that Quinn's magic has run out and a lot can be said for what he was able to get out of them in year's past. They truly look like the sum of their parts this year.

I think Gallo will be traded within a day of trade season opening.
Wonder who takes him? My early thought was Portland but they got Melo. I don’t think Melo sustains his fluke good play and then later on when Gallo is gone Portland will realize they got the wrong guy.

Strange play. First he has to wait for mop guy to move then he makes dunk but refs rule he didn’t make it? This shows how bad refs are. Granted, Harden had 15 FTs “in the first half” which is criminal in its own right. But a bad call is a bad call and can hurt any team. At least Harden knows how opposing players feel when he steals FTs off them game after game.

Gallo on the Mavs would be pretty fun to watch. But I doubt the Thunder accept Courtney Lee+2nds
Don't look now, the Spurs have stormed back being down 20+ to force overtime against the Rockets.
Edit: Wait I stand corrected. The Spurs stormed back, and have forced TWO! overtimes

Dallas and Miami are two of this seasons surprise teams. Miami gave Toronto, their 1st home lost, 121-110 in OT. Miami is 15-5.

Harden has 48 pts, on 11-37 from the field, 4-20 from 3, and 22-22 from the line. 22 freakin FT attempts !!

The Spurs beat the Rockets in double OT! Good for us in the standings.
