I am thinking of chasing Pascal Siakam. Not currently an All Star. An all-around, two-way player with championship experience.
This is an all-in kind of move. THJ, DP, Josh Green, Moses Brown, FRP for Pascal Siakam and scrubs.
Luka, JB, DFS, PS, KP
FN, RB, SB, Maxi, Chriss

Agreed, but both (Isaac, in particular) are of the type the team should be looking for, imo. That guy who would've been a 3 in 1990 but is now squarely in the 4 category.

2. I'll have to think about it. It's complicated, and the caffeine is wearing off.
I suspect it may be more involved than that, as I believe using the TPE in this situation requires two separate deals. My instinct is that they'd have to order it to first use the TPE to clear enough cap space so that NY is still under the cap even after the second Brunson deal. But maybe others have different interpretations.
I did some calculations on "double" S&T - such as Robinson for Brunson. This is decidedly dicey to figure out!
However, just as a sample, with Brunson 18mm and Robinson 10.8mm in the first year, the Mavs adding 19.01mm and the Knicks 24.21mm seems (I hope!) to work. I don't think either side probably want those additional salaries or even possibly have them on hand, but it is (extremely) theoretically doable.

I'm afraid that wont be close to getting it done. There is very little in the way of assets in that list. A trade for Siakam does not start without KP or Brunson.

How about THJ, DP, JH, MB, plus 3 FRPs for Pascal Siakam and scrubs?
This is an all-in idea, thinking Siakam is the missing piece to being a title contender now and the immediate future.
Meanwhile, Raptors can do a quick rebuild with young prospects in Green and Moses and can use the picks to upgrade their roster in the future.

Moses is a G-League project, not a prospect!

I don't think we have 3 FRP unless maybe we go past 2030 and otherwise that package is still all of our junk. Toronto is very capable of building a quality roster without taking on our mess. I have not really looked but I would not be surprised if the bottom of their roster is better than Moses and at least as good as Green. There is no path here unless you talk about legit assets, and even then only if they really like the assets. If he is on the block there will be a ton of suitors who can likely put together a package better than us.

How about something like this
KP + Maxi + Moses Brown future 1st to Atlanta
Clint Capella + John Collins to Dallas
Or a 3 way trade of:
Indiana Receives - Gordon Hayward, THJ, Dwight Powell + PJ Washington + picks
Dallas Receives - Miles Turner, Domantas Sabonis + Jeremy Lamb (Trade Exception)
Charlotte Receives - KP, Caris Lavert, Maxi Kleber
I Can make the money work with all of these trades

Prophet slander. Moses had 12 double doubles last season. WCS and Powell combined for 2. He is 22. Sounds like a prospect to me.
I am really suprised that people aren´t happy with the new approach. Mavs are doing what most teams have been doing for quite some time. Use a roster spot on a young big. Hope that athleticism and measurements translate to on court impact. Develop the next Capela instead of giving up assets. Low risk high reward gamble. Chances are that he will never be more than a spot minutes player but if it works out they have a really nice player on a great contract.

First, yes, who am I to criticize someone who split the red sea (with a good bit of help), however...
1. Putting up stats for lots of losing efforts is something, just not sure what.
2. I'm glad the Mavs took on a young project! Great idea. It could work! But, if he's a prospect and not a project then it may just be that you and I place the project/prospect dividing line in different places.

KP + Hardaway for Hayward + Plumlee + Washington
KP has better stats over-all and is younger and his is a position of need. Both are injury prone so I think Charlotte wouldn't mind. Hardaway is a cheaper scorer and supposedly should replace Hayward's shooting.
Mavs are losing 2 of the 3 best players out of the trade. But Hayward just adds extra playmaking (JB isn't enough and may leave). Want someone to add to Maxi? PJ will solidify the PF slot for the Mavs. And Plumlee? There to make salaries work, but I guess he can can help, specially if either DP or Moses is traded.

Josh Green is a better player and a way better prospect than Flynn, Wilson, Watanabe, Mykhailiuk, Bonga, Banton.
As of late, he has exhibited the ability to be a rotation player for a good team and has shown flashes of potential of a being a future starter if he further develops. The Raptors are good in developing young players. He will definitely benefit from them.
Moses Brown is also a better prospect than Flynn, Wilson, Watanabe, Mykhailiuk, Bonga, Banton.
He is very raw but still very young. He just needs to be taught how to play better. He could benefit from playing with a developing team.
Anyway, I understand that our assets may not be enough to get Siakam. Just daydreaming.

Thing is that he showed something in the NBA while other players of similar age still played in college. He obviously isn´t better than a player like Powell right now but he has shown the raw potential to earn a spot on a roster. If a player enters the NBA as a walking double-double I am willing to give him some time to develop his overall game. That´s a pretty good starting point for a non first round pickup.

He’s already slow though. By the time he figures everything out, I’m betting he’s gonna be way, way too slow.

Laterally. Full court he might be the fastest player on the roster.

I agree with your distinction, but I’m not sure fastest on the team is close to accurate. I’ll meet you halfway and agree that he always runs in transition, which is very, very important. I definitely appreciate that about him.
If WCS played that hard he’d be a starter somewhere.

Moses Brown is not slow. He is pretty fast for his size especially in fastbreak situations. And I enjoy watching him catch passes unlike WCS.
