I don't see him as a GM now. I also wouldn't want him to be a GM in the future. I would hate to see him bad at it. GM is a tough job and with youngish kids he is probably looking for something with more freedom now.
Ideally, I would love to see him replace Cuban as a voice in the room. I think he would take a more level headed approach and probably has a much better feel for talent than Cuban. He would probably be much easier to deal with too.

Dirk would be the same mistake as Kidd. We don't need a former player/coach who has no front office experience. We need somebody that actually knows what they are doing, especially considering they have such an inexperienced owner.
