Interesting stat on Jared McCain. Maybe this move cost
Morey his job, SMH.

Cleveland looks like they're toast. I have to give Mike Brown his flowers. (I wasn't a fan of his as a coach) The Knicks are on a 10-game winning streak and set an NBA record for point differential in the process. (+234) He has turned around the Knicks in the 2nd half of the season by playing through KAT instead of Brunson. They all play on a string and get balanced scoring from everyone. Whoever comes out of the West will have their hands full with the Knicks if they continue to play like this.

First blowout of the series. Without Mitchell and Williams OKC doesn't have enough shot creation. Both teams struggled on offense but the Spurs don't rely on 3-point shooting and can play with brute force in the paint when nothing else is working.

Quote:2025-26 All-NBA teams:

First: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, Victor Wembanyama, Luka Doncic, Cade Cunningham

Second: Jaylen Brown, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell

Third: Tyrese Maxey, Jamal Murray, Jalen Johnson, Jalen Duren, Chet Holmgren

Duren eligible for a 5/287 supermax extension. Other teams can only offer 4/177. Worst contract in the league incoming...

I'm going to go out on a tiny limb here and say that this will be the last time, barring injury, that Cooper won't make an All NBA Team in the next ten years.

I'll be interested to see if Presti makes any panic moves if the Thunder lose. Does he try and get out of Jalen Williams before an injury makes his contract untradeable? Does he pushed his chips in and moves up to 5 to take Mara to match up? Does he try and trade all his recent picks like Sorber, Topic, etc., before they lose all their value?  Whatever he does, he won't have much time to do it between the end of the and the Draft/Free Agency.

Presti is not known for panic moves.  History says he will methodically continue to maximize assets regardless of the outcome on the court.

He’s never been in a situation like this.  Not even close. He has no leverage because he has to make moves and everyone knows it. Once upon a time OKC had Durant, Westbrook and Harden and got rid if them all.

[Stein] The Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat are the two trade destinations that are currently believed to intrigue Giannis Antetokounmpo the most.

Just because a player is eligible for a contract doesn't mean that the team has to pay him that much. Same with the sidemen on the Thunder. It's a matter of negotiation. If a guy is going to be butthurt that you didn't sign him for $15 mil/year more than he is worth, he can go be butthurt somewhere else anyway.

Exactly. What we are going to start seeing is smart teams trade their overrated “stars” and let another team max them out and get handicapped. Get assets + have you opponents handicapped = winnings long term strategy. If Presti is as smart as some on here think he is he will be shipping off 75% of the roster this way.

Presti's time frame to do things in June is just as big as that for every other team. And it's not small.

He has until June 30, as his deadline, not just the draft. And, like the TDL, he has a significant amount of time to negotiate deals prior to the deadline. In fact, if he is wanting to trade players, he can already be exploring and negotiating what he might be able to get for them, should they want to move them.

To give a comparative time frame, where he sits right now is about the same as where he sits on Jan 1 each January, in relation to doing trades by the TDL. Time/opportunity is NOT an obstacle.

So the cabs coach really said the cave have won 2 of 3 games analytically?

The jokes are writing themselves tonight with the game.
