IF that's the case, Nico has earned some grace with me. I felt getting PJ to sign a below market deal would be harder than getting Gafford or Kyrie to. Getting all 3 locked up at very very reasonable deals is great work. Maybe relationships do matter...

Totally agree with this premise. Not sure I agree that Gafford's deal is "very very reasonable" if the plan is to keep him here, but it's also not the end of the world. So in general, I'm with you.

I posted this in another thread, but in the press conference Nico intimated that he had good news on guys (plural) and intend to sign the 'both' when we are allowed to.

Could "both" beGafford and Irving?

I don't think those who want to "sell and get young" right away are pushing a viewpoint totally without merit, but I encourage everyone to listen to what these two basketball geniuses, both of whom understand the NBA life more than any of us ever will, have to say on the matter.

Sadly, I think you are right.  I went back and listened again and there is nothing to indicate he was talking about Gafford/PJ.  I think I was so enamored with the answer about him asking PJ if he could play with Flagg while at the workout that my brain assumed "both" meant both of the extension guys.  Gafford and Irving are much more likely what he meant.
