But on a serious note, I do think Max Christie is a gem of a get and I'm not sure I would've known he had so much potential if I had been negotiating that deal. He fits better here than Knecht would've, and that's a name we all would've preferred at the time.
Agree.
I don't think he will be an all star like most of us here but he has potential.
Reaves is a done player and i don't like what i see.

Massai is out. A day after the draft. His stock has gone down from where it was. He was considered the best of the best. Since the championship run, I feel he has not done much right. A lot of odd choices and now has expensive players with little hope of being a contender.

I am surprised Minny did not look at Point guard. Drafted two centers (one being a two way, I believe). I wonder what their plan is for point guard. Are they going to ride Conley again and their rookie Point guard? That seems pretty risky. Their GM is pretty creative. I wonder if they could be a Sexton team? Would that work out?

Looks like Bill Simmons and Big Perk have a little spat going on, LOL.
Not sure who I dislike more.

For me it depends on what I'm looking for. If I want to be entertained I go with Simmons. If I want to make fun of someone I go with Perk. If I want to learn more about basketball I go elsewhere.

Found this a few minutes ago...
"Andy Miller, an NBA agent who represents several members of the Mavericks‘ coaching staff, recently criticized the Knicks for their unusual approach to their coaching search, which included asking permission to interview five head coaches who are already under contract, per Adam Zagoria of NJ.com. “I don’t really know where Jason Kidd is in his process with the Knicks,” Miller said on Sirius XM Radio, “because I don’t really know what the process is with the Knicks. … I don’t even know if the Knicks know what their process is.”

Love or hate Bill Simmons, you can't discount that he's MASSIVELY impacted the recent NBA. I remember reading his ESPN blog and thinking he was bats--- crazy with his ideas, but look at the list he came up with 10+ years ago:
-- Play-in tournament
-- Mid-season tournament
-- Contracts based on awards and 1st, 2nd, 3rd All NBA Teams
-- Contracts tied to percentages rather than just up to the max
-- All Star Weekend changes (I don't remember specifically)

Good player. Solid contract. Not a center though. It would have hurt Minny to lose him.
If you are PJ, what are your thoughts with this? Die the 4 year max contract that he can sign now look good? Or do you want to bet on yourself?

And agree or disagree with him, he is a guy who at least try to make some original opinion and write and talk stuff
Perkins is Skip Bayless wannabe, with a voice unqualified for media. He is barely understandable

Minnesota made a lot of awful trade/resign.
They are done.
Ant will demand a trade in 1/2 years. Book it.
But they played 2 WCF for no reason, that's absurd.
Ok ok they were smoked by Mavs&OKC. I know.

After having watched some of the summer league games, I would like to make this move. The Lakers probably say no but it doesn't hurt to ask. Christie is the sort of two-way player that I think is needed alongside Luka, while the Lakers might feel they want a scorer like Hardy.
Looks like I beat you to it by a little less than 2 years. I made this post above on July 18th, 2023.

Yeah, good call, I guess.
Glad to see you around. How does it feel for Utah to miss out on BOTH Luka AND Flagg? I imagine that's pretty demoralizing, given how much time you spent typing about how one of those two would be a Jazz.

Like his waiting too long to trade Pascal and OG, they waited too long to fire him.

Probably vet min.
Just like Dinwiddie and maybe Clarkson, a guy who can fill some holes and help you win.

Duncan Robinson on a 3-yr deal for Detroit is going to be Hardaway's replacement.
