AROUND the NBA:
Believe!

Reggie looks like he can still play. Suit him up.

Anyone else feel, after watching these two teams, that last year's Mavs were just a year too early?

I mean, of course they just had to draw an epic Celtics team.

Just need to weather this quarter, Indy, it's where OKC plays their best ball.

Not TJ's best game.

A year too early or a year too late. If last year's Mavs had been in the finals in any other season going back to 2020 I think they would have had extremely good odds. They just happened to run into the best team since the KD Warriors.

So annoying
I'd say that Celtics team was comfortably the best Finals team since those Durant Warriors

It should be confirmed that calf injuries lead to Achilles tears. If you have a calf injury you should not come back too soon. It happened to KD a few years back, and Dame, and Tatum just this year.

Indiana is turning the ball over. That's a death knell vs OKC.

A wonder Luka didn't get a serious injury playing with all those strains and sprains

I was going to say that being a top end athlete might help him there, but the way he can stop on a dime and his extra weight probably counteracts that. I kind of wonder if we are training our athletes too well and the tendon can't keep up with the rest of their bodies.

TJ went on a run, but he's a big reason they were down 9 before that and then capped it off with a blown layup and a turnover and never got his teammates involved. A 13 point hole might be a bit too much of a task.

Debatable.  The  Bucks  of  2021 and the Nuggets of 2023 were both really good.

Giannis and Jokic were really good. I can't say I was super impressed by their teams. Especially the Nuggets. They had not won a playoff series against a 50 win team until this year and had one of the easiest roads to a title ever.

Damn. Good effort, Indy. No shame in this series loss. Payers up to Hali.

Game is a blowout now. Congrats to OKC. Indiana gets much props though for a great series.

That's fair. But we'll never know what the outcome would have been.

Thought OKC was the best team all year long. Title number 1. More likely to come. I dislike how Dort plays but I like how most of the team and the coach takes care of business. They deserved this.

Gained a lot of respect for Indy. They were no fluke. Just sickening to get to game 7 and then lose your star player. Just devastating. Another team in the east with a potential major setback for next year.

Now that the season is over…Nico can cook. With that nightmare, I will say goodnight.

Nico can cook, just don't let him buy the groceries.
