So he goes to all the trouble to become a Slovenian citizen but then won't play with Luka huh Smile

I am sure Ayton is going to love coming off the bench.

I wonder if he had any trade value as an 8 mil expiring.  They probably need him though right?  Or maybe Mamu can play backup center.    If they had drafted Vessaar in the second round things would have fit pretty well if they wanted to move Ayton.

There's an awful lot of racial discussion happening online stemming from this Lakers team...some ridiculous, some sad and confused and some HILARIOUS.

Luka said get me a starting center or imma quit taking Mounjaro and start drinking 10 beers a day again. Lakers got desperate and overpaid.

That's not racial, it's a movie reference.

Jason Timpf wasn't crazy about the Kessler price tag.

Book turned mini-series reference. Bill Simmons tweet was racial.

All in all, the Lakers are a better team with these moves. They’re not good enough to win it, but they’re good enough to give Luka enough hope that he’ll think they can. It’s probably a little better roster than what the Mavs had the year they made the finals. Luka is Luka. Kessler is a little better than the Mavs centers, Kyrie slightly better than Reaves. DJJ, PJ and the bench were relatively substandard compared to the Laker’s others.

That's enough DJJ slander from you.  He was a saint.

This is a Timpf pod on the Jaylen Brown trade, but I'm positing it here because the best part of it is him going in on the Lakers' off-season AGAIN, even harder this time.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m tired of talking Lakers, but it’s clear as day that Luka is not going to end his career there. It will always be in the front of Mavs fans minds. What if…

I don't watch a lot of Jazz hoops but maybe Kessler is awesome?  I just feel bad for Luka in all of this.  It should have been us surrounding him with mediocre teams for the duration of his career.
