The scoring would happen but I would venture to say that Drummond would bring better offense than KP given the playmaking ability of Luka. Luka loves feeding his bigs the ball on the inside. Drummond has always been the better fit.

I would suspect the Cavs would be open to the trade because they cannot get free agents there and KP would be under contract for them.

The Mavs could get a pick out of that but yes I would trade KP straight up for Drummond and yes I feel like Drummond is an upgrade for what the Mavs need.

There were rumors about Drummond being bought out so if there is any truth to that, KP wouldn't need to be involved. I wouldn't trade KP without multiple picks coming back. I also think there is zero chance the Mavs trade KP.

KP looks lost out there on offense and defense and your can look at how much more chemistry the team has when Powell came in. As maligned as he is, Powell provides stability which is why he won't be traded. But the team needs to find a way to fit it's personnel into more defined roles.

Mavs are 2-7 in the last 9 games. Last time they had a stretch this bad was Feb 11 - Mar 28, 2019 when they went 3-17.

Drummond would sure be a better option than WCS/Boban/Johnson with the 2nd unit.
