With the NBC takeover looming next season, we've maybe seen the last of "Inside the NBA" on TNT.

Isiah Hartenstein is gonna get paid this off season as a FA. He's got 17 rebounds and 12 are offensive. To add to Brunson's 44 pts. He totally out played Myles Turner this series

Credit to IGT, who has been hyping him for years.

Jokic is just the best franchise player in the league and it's not even close. You can't have a better player to build a team around. Perfect mix of unselfishness but knows when to be an alpha scorer and put the offense on his back. Good shooter from three and at the FT line. Maybe the most important factor is durability...he has played 70+ games almost every season in his career (except barely missing it last year with 69)

I agree. Jokic is one of one. No duplicates. He got his MVP trophy then went to work on the Wolves.

Derrick White instead of THJ and the Mavs would be winning it all.

ESPN Sources: After an Eastern Conference semifinal loss to Celtics with short-handed lineup, Cavaliers plan to take time to evaluate coach JB Bickerstaff’s future, but organization remains fond of him and marketplace is sparse of proven candidates. There will be a lot of conversations on different ways to proceed for a franchise that reached Eastern semis for first time since 2018.

I thought he did a really great job in the Celtics series.  They dealt with a lot of injuries and Darius Garland shot terribly during the series.   They still managed to stay competitive against the league's best team and would have won game 4 as well if the officiating had been fair.

They'll need to solve their weird roster as Garland and Mitchell don't fit together nor do Jarrett Allen and Mobley.  None of that is JB Bickerstaff's fault.  Everyone blames the coach these days though.  About that, I have some JKidd criticisms....

Recent reports are that Garland may need be moved because of duplicate skill sets with Mitchell. This is compounded by reports of players unhappy with Bickerstaff and players unhappy with Jarret Allen for not getting an injection and refusing to play through the pain.

Didn't Mitchell say, short of a finals run he wants to leave? Well let's see what happens.

I didn't see a Minnie-Denver Game 6 thread, so I'll post it here.

How does this series look? If the Mavericks close out and have to play one of these teams, I can pretty much tell you I don't want anything to do with Minnie. Denver has some serious issues with Jokic getting double-teamed while the rest of the team scrambles to make a play - usually with a brick or a turnover. Murray is a mess.

Minnesota is inconsistent, Rudy is one-dimensional, and Towns is a big question mark, but that team is good enough to overcome all of those things and beat any team currently still playing.

I kind of agree to a point. I don't think Dallas matches up well with Denver because of Jokic. He clearly has the advantage against a rookie center, and a center playing in his first playoffs. Sure, they are a great tag-team combo on defense and as being lob threats at the rim. But Jokic is wily and one of the smartest players in the game and he will get calls because he's the 3-time MVP.  Denver has to get consistent scoring from Murray, MPJ, Gordon and KCP, because they're bench isn't very good IMO. On the other side, either team has to deal with Luka and Kyrie. Luka while playing hurt is still a nightmare, but OKC has put the clamps on Kyrie. He needs to breakout.  Dallas needs PJ, THJ, and DJJ to keep making shots to have a chance against either. Denver gets a token game from Reggie Jackson, Braun and Holiday every now and then. Bruce Brown and Jeff Green are really missed. The Wolves size will create problems for them as KAT is bigger than PJ, Rudy is still DPOY whether warranted or not, and Naz Reid gives them 3 Bigs to throw at teams, Edwards is a problem for everybody, and McDaniels is one of the best defenders in the league.  Their bench is better than Denver's.  Should be fascinating matchups either way, if they can get past OKC which I fully expect them to do.
