I think he wanted to be the Messiah of NYC then the Knicks screwed it up. Philly is probably the next best choice.

Valuewise it’s a great deal for Philly, he’s dirt cheap.

On offense they are super multiple and dangerous. 

On defense it will be interesting - if Embiid doesn’t return to being a Wemby level impact defender, which he won’t with all his injuries, they are not good at all.
