It wasn't going to be with Burries either. They need to keep their options open and keep looking for that Robin. I wish they had found him this draft, but you can thank Finley and Riccardi for that.

We're all just disappointed because he's a defender. Veeerrrry little offensive game, and coming to a team desperate for an offensive face lift.
Defense wins cow's heart.
I'm glad I don't know anything about college hoops as it's hard to be disappointed. Him saying "go to work" as the first thing in is interview sold me. He can't control where he was picked anymore than Ujiri controlled the draft order.

Great pick we needed this because another big is something that will solidify the front line even if Lively gets hurt we got better with a player that can fit in as a center and as a PF but at the 5 he will make his mark. Cooper has more of an NBA SF game with his offensive versatility and ability to score from anywhere.
De Larea is a guy I would be happy with at 30 but I would not be surprised if they took a 5. However at 48 centers could fall to us. A decent PG is usually going to be taken way before that but centers that are serviceable have fallen that far before.

Because we’re building for the future and Wemby isn’t going to be bad 3-4-5 years from now when this team is ready to compete at that level?

I don’t think he is a lottery talent to be quite blunt.
...and if he learns how to shoot he´s KG. This is a new FO, not the old regime that could only draft self-sufficient rookies, because they could not develop or pick a raw talent to safe their f´n lives. 70% of the journey is the attitude of the player and the franchises development plan and personal. That Mavs always sucked at that.

Lively's health already sealed that fate, sadly.

Really interested to see what OKC does with 17. Surely a trade?

Just think about. Some house cleaning and we might not see a single minute of dinosaur ball next season.

There is no statistic in which PJ Washington is the better player. Not at present I don't think.
He can guard 1-5, and was the the best defender on the best defensive team in the NCAA.

Atlanta might be back in the mix since they went Flemings. Dark horse Toronto.

Mara was the last if Michigan guys, when everyone was expecting him to be the first.
And honestly, I think that is the right order, and I like Mara actually. He will have a decent career IMO.

Need to find a way to unlock his offense.

Its telling that everyone is going for size.
Big ball is back. But not post ups. Just pace and size.
Makes me kind of like the Morez pick more.
