I wouldn't say there's evidence that May "likes" to play big. He simply did at Michigan because he had those types of players. But he did the complete opposite at FAU. So you would have said based on his time there, he likes to play small. Based on his press conference, he doesn't have a type, he completely adapts his system to accommodate the strengths of whatever players he has. I think going big is purely based on the trend of the NBA in general and is a directive regardless of who the coach is.

Haha, I used to periodically pre Luka trade. Kinda took a break since, and have only slowly gotten back to being invested in the team as they've cleared out the regime responsible.

Yes, but I don't know if it was more that he specifically targeted bigs, as opposed to the best talent he was able to recruit happened to be bigs. I think ultimately the presser confirms that he adapts his systems dynamically to his players, not vice versa. So I wouldn't equivocate a player preference to him purely based on his time at Michigan, apart from perhaps personality and work ethic requirements.

Not on his best teams, which is the point he has been making that he will take what he has available and make it work. They won playing 1 big and a bunch of small guys.

1st NCAA Tourn year - He started 1 7-footer (the only one on the team) and 4 guys who were 6-4 or shorter, who went 35-4 and made it to the Final Four. Next guy in minutes was also 6-4 or shorter.
2nd NCAA Tourn year -  He started the same 7-footer, and 4 guys who were 6-4 or shorter, who went 25-9 and made it to the NCAA. Next 2 guys in minutes were also 6-4 or shorter.
