If his ceiling is 80% or Seth Curry that’s a huge win for the 31st pick.
He’s supposed to develop into a sniper off the bench. Not a starter who’s anchoring your team.
Agree with your point, but I will be a little surprised if he's not better than Seth Curry in a few years, when the dust clears.
He has better handles, a more aggressive mentality, he's smarter in general, and he has a chance to become a much, much, much better playmaker.
I would not need him to become a star or even a STARTER for this to be a successful pick (though I think both are possible) but I would need him to develop into a plus-level rotation piece who scares teams to death when he comes off the bench. For the reasons above, I have a good feeling about that.
