I have been feeling this too. I had a feeling this announcement would come out. I had a sliver of hope that they would hire an actual GM but I knew deep inside that this would be the result. Like you said, how bad does it have to be when one of the top 3 coaches in the NBA walks away from 2 years of guaranteed money and coaching Luka? Wow.
