I was watching a video on Shawn last year and JVG had some really nice things to say about him. Something a long the lines of "you can't be a great shot blocker if you aren't willing to be on someone's poster (highlight reel)".
This is terrible news. Neck fusion surgery probably tells about the nature of the injury.
