Memphis looked awful last night but I think they the moves they have made in the last few years and getting lucky with Ja, make them a real factor moving forward and a team we need to keep our eye on.
I loved their draft with Bane and Tillman. Both are no nonsense guys who are not flashy but just play winning ball. They also have two fliers in Killian Tillie and Joyntay Porter who they can develop slowly if they desire to keep them.
In a lot of ways, Memphis is similar to Dallas. Ja is not on Luka's level but he is the clear multiple time all star if he stays healthy. Memphis, like Dallas, really needs their second star to stay healthy and reach a level approaching their clear star. Then they need to finish building their roster with the pieces who fit around their stars.
