I am not so harsh on this team, I still think there is a lot of potential. But, last three opportunities to improve the team were just bad, which is showing more and more.

1. Summer of 2019, better known as "the summer of we like stars" resulted in Wright as key addition from a 30+ mil of cap space.
2. No moves at TDL 2020, letting the Lee contract expire.
3. In 2020 FA, we basically just switched one rotation player for another (Curry-Richardson trade). The rest were fringe rotation players Burke and WCS and a bunch of guys that don't play at all, including 4 rookies and Iwundu. 

Could be, the Mavs are playing the long game. But then one would expect more minutes for rookies. This is exactly what I was talking about why Mavs should trade picks. They had far more value draft night than they do now.
