I really don't think Morris was trying to break his ankle. If you want to try to injure an ankle I would think you would try to jump on it with your body weight after a loose ball or shot at the rim when you and the player are already falling down. I think he just accidentally stepped on his ankle trying to cover Luka who was ab to get the ball.
