Main problem with SA is not Fox contract imho. It is the fact that he positionally overlaps with their second and third best player. Kyrie doesn't solve anything of that.

SA has also more or less no salary problems until 2028-2029 season when Castle extension (probably max or very close to max) will kick in. They are comfortably under the first apron (19 mil) for next season with Keldon Johnson the only notable FA.

Excellent points, and pretty well ends the conversation. If SA isn’t motivated to do it, they won’t give the necessary compensation.

Cow does make the excellent point that getting off the Martin contract in a two for one deal is a must-accomplish for the TDL unless they’re willing to stretch-waive him by then. Thanks a lot, Nico.
