I am not sure I agree with this. I think to get the most out of both, they need to be able to play together...a lot.
Right now though, Lively needs to prove he can get and stay healthy and also be productive without Luka. That is #1. If the answer is no to either of these, that will hurt. I think Lively is one of the handful of guys on the current roster who I feel confident could finish games on good teams and impact those games. If Lively can't stay on the court, that puts a big hit on the rebuild stage imo.
I told myself I would keep quiet on Lively as he just has not been healthy. He is such a wild card for this team though. I am really interested to see what May does with him. I think Mara is more skilled, but look at Mara's production prior to last year. He had glimpses but no one thought he was a lottery pick when he transferred to Michican. I think Lively has some of the skills that May really highlighted with Mara.
