Looking at that list, Mavs did fairly well. A lot of the misses were guys drafted in the 40s. That means just about every team missed on them. Cuban didn't value the draft, which is why they didn't have that many firsts to begin with, but when they actually drafted they were not bad. Not many teams can say they drafted the talent of Luka/Brunson/Flagg and Mavs have not had a ton of lottery picks to get that done.
