Your overall point about Exum is spot on, but technically it was Omax that was stretch waived to create the roster spot to sign Exum. Exum was eventually included in the AD trade to Washington. 

I only mention that because it was one other casualty of the bad Exum signing.

I feel bad, because I liked Exum and what he brought to the floor when healthy. I liked OMax better, though.
