I think he checks a lot more of those boxes than you do. Don't get me wrong - I understand your point and agree, but RIGHT NOW they're a Kyrie injury away from potentially being almost as offensively challenged as they were last season. Probably not that bad, because Flagg will be better, they have more shooting (still remains to be seen how much that improved spacing will actually get into GAMES) and May seems to understand that he needs to actually design an offense that plays to the strengths of his team, but...idk. I think a guy who can get good shots off even when the defense is focused on him is ALWAYS helpful, offensively. More so in the Mavs' situation.
I actually think adding Mathruin would increase the amount of wins I'd expect, personally. Were they to trade for him, I might end up thinking it's the most likely to manifest itself into a better team THIS SEASON of all the summer moves.
