It's hard to draw the line of blame between then Clippers and Kawhi. According to Torre who blew this story wide open and figured it out, they are both equally at fault. Kawhi made demands, Clippers set up the deal. They both benefitted.

IIRC, there is some evidence of the Clippers funneling $$$ to the 3rd party company that essentially covered Kawahi's deal. So, to my simple mind, everyone involved is complicit. 

And now there are other possible deals starting to surface?
